Marrakesh Brown
Saw this car parked at the Maui Hyatt. Had never seen this color before....not sure it works. Interior was Terra.

I saw the color a lot in Germany. In the sunlight, I think the color looks great! I'd rock it.

Dealer had one of these on the lot when I bought my car (I believe it was a 135i convertible). It didn't strike me as all that interesting on the Web site, but in person it's pretty striking. Not enough for me to pull the trigger (I'm pretty much a black or red guy), but definitely eye-catching.

Yeah that was my feeling as well.
BTW, the 128 in the OP is a good demonstration of why one might want the Moonlight Black soft-top (a $100 extra). The silver threads are catching the light, making it appear almost silver in color instead of black. Worth a note in case anyone was wondering about that option. I have it on my car, and you can compare with the pics in my thread (here) to see how it normally appears pitch-black, unless the light catches it just so.

I'm not sure what that means, but it's a standard color, available from any dealer. You can build one on the BMWUSA Web site in that color.

Could be; doesn't look brown enough to me. It looks a lot like mine does in direct sunlight.

That top is taupe. No doubting that.
I don't think moonlight black top would look good with that Marrakesh Brown...unless the interior was black with with grey poplar wood trim (combine that witn the sport pkg / shadowline trim too ). In my opinion, this color looks best in a sporty theme with black trims and black interior. My 2011 128i cabrio is Blue Water metallic with a moonlight black metallic top, grey dakota leather(whole interior & carpet is all grey), grey poplar wood trim, and it doesn't have the sport package, so it has the chrome window trim..making for the perfect looks combination. (*Everything is a perfect tonal match and goes together well*). p.s. I can get sport suspension H&R/bilsteins later on. For me, The chrome trim was worth the gamble on no sport pkg. Shadowline black trim doesn't look good with Blue Water metallic paint.

Eww, that car is a big mix of yuck. Marrakesh Brown is a sweet color, but the beige roof is just wrong with the Marrakesh and the Terracotta interior is too close to the Marrakesh. I think that car would best be served by a black top and black interior. Just my $.02

Sorry to revive this terrible topic. Just went to the dealership yesterday to drop my 135 off for service and I saw a cabrio 128i in Marrakesh brown in the lot.
IT'S JUST AS HORRIBLY UGLY IN REAL LIFE |
