Sunroof rattle

Hi guys, on my 10th visit to the dealership to fix the sunroof rattle, there seems to be a solution. The tech discovered that the frame that holds the rear light dome assembly in place had retaining tabs broken off. He compared it to the diagram on the parts computer and discovered that there were missing tabs which had broken so cleanly that you couldn't tell that they were gone. New frame is on its way (3 to 6 weeks

) from Germany. I will update if/when it has solved the problem.
2009 128i BTW.

sounds like a defect rather than a broken tab.

@Bishop200, I too have heard a loud clank noise in the sunroof/roof area, but it has happened once, maybe twice. Can you describe what yours was like, or are there other posts about this?

Have there been any updates on this topic? I seem to have developed the same rattle just behind the sunroof?
