Widest tire on Style 256 17"?

What’s the widest tire a Style 256 wheel can hold?

For a 7" wide wheel like the style 256, I would stick to 225 tires. You can go wider than that but probably would not be recommended. Starting with a 235 size tire, it is usually recommended to have at least an 8" wide wheel minimum (or maybe a 7.5" wheel). Also trying to find an available tire in a 235 or 245 even, with around the same calculated overall diameter will likely be cost prohibitive or just not available on the market. 225/45/17 size tires are such a common size that they will be the better deal by far.

ZeroR thanks! I’m on square 225/45/17s right now but wanted to know if any wider was possible with the stock wheels. They feel very good compared to the 205s.

I bought the car used not long ago and it had 205s on with little to no life remaining so I put on some used tires to make the car actually driveable. I am planning on buying a set of new tires in the near future and was wondering if I could go any wider.

What about spacers? I want to make the wheels as flush as possible with the least amount of rubbing possible

Is it lowered at all? That will matter when you are using spacers. I have 10mm on my style 256's and it's not nearly enough. On my summer wheels (18x8) they're perfect.

It’s not, it’s on stock suspension, so would you say 12mm or larger?

Give it a shot! Also check out the Fitment Industries page. They may have more info. There are also ways to measure. You gotta dig through the forums.
