19x8 ET40 Square Setup?

Hi all!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been searching for wheels for a LONG time for my e82, but many wheels with the correct fitment have now been discontinued.

I've found a good deal on a set of used BBS wheels, but they're 19x8 +40 offset square. I've only ever seen people running 19x8.5 and 19x9.5.

Has anyone ran 19x8 before? If so, how did the fitment look and what tyre sizes did you run?

I have 18 x 8 and 18 x 9 et40 wheels on my car with 235/40 and 255/35 tires. I had to do a e90 rear hub swap to bring the rears in by 10mm per side and Dinan fixed camber plates up front. You’d likely need skinnier tires all around to get them to fit. Maybe 225/30/19.
