Decipher my logs please
I have about 10 data logs from my JB4.. I need someone or some people to look at them..
All my pulls in 3rd I think are fine, but the long pulls in 4th at high speed WOT, I get the half engine light with the fuel pressure code 29F2, and F.I pressure sensor code 29E2.... I have them listed on my posts below. Thank you for the assistance

Use datazap and upload your logs to that, then just paste the link here. Easy.

Any assistance would be appreciated, it appears the HPFP drops real hard right before I let off.. and the LPFP has some pretty big spikes and drops too.. maybe an inline is in need?

Send the logs to Terry he'll steer you right. I don't want to give you advice w/out knowing how JB scales fuel pressure

LPFP scale for JB4 is 10:1
The LPFP sensor is noisy but the LPFP and HPFP pressures are fine. You're using an old interface and I can't tell what your OL is at and why your LPFPs are on oil temp. I'm guessing it's too high and that is why the DME shut you down. Update your interface and log again or Terry may be able to tell you despite the out of date software.

OL=Open Loop
The JB4 has fairly limited control over fueling and largely just tries to get it within a range where the DME can keep it happy via adding in or pulling out trim. In all honesty i'd just reach out to Terry with your logs. He's very helpful with this type of stuff.

As suspected, your OL is 95 and a lot of cars don't care for that much as it can cause this exact issue.
You've pretty much maxed out your ethanol content and are going to need to do a flash if you plan to run higher concentrations. Thus far your HPFP is okay but in that latest log your LPFP is starting to show signs that it's nearing its limit. Your FF value is pretty low and is probably in the process of learning up as your Avg. Ign. looks good. But by all means...send these to Terry as he is the expert in all things JB4

unfortunately I tried reaching out but he doesn't advise on logs anymore as stated in his email back to me. Would you suggest lowering the OL setting on the JB4? Maybe the inline pump and flash added ?

Anything short of that is a bandaid. You need more fuel than a piggyback can provide.

That's what I'm thinking but I hate jumping the gun on anything if there's other issues we're not seeing..
Having a heck of a time getting people to look at it

Sorry...yesterday was super busy.
With your OL being 95 and your trims virtually max'd...that's gonna be a problem. Add to that the fact that your FF value is still pretty low and you have more potential to be extracted...you're going to run in to even more problems. To get your fueling under control you're going to need a flash. Your LPFP is definitely struggling in that last log but as I said it didn't take your HPFP with it and when your LPFP was at it's lowest point your HPFP was still doing fine. However, if you start demanding much more from it or continue to demand this much of it, it's only a matter of time. As of now if that were my car I would either reduce my mix or flash. Second on the list would be an LPFP upgrade, especially if you want to sustain that level of ethanol or potentially run more. Sorry, this is pretty much what I said before...but based on what you're provided, it's my honest opinion and I don't know what else to tell ya. Oh...and thanks 135Pats

Thanks for your input,
Both of you, I really do appreciate it.. I'll start hunting for a BT cable as you already have the inline upgrade on your site. Quick question but with the flash and the inline, what's the most alcohol I can run? I believe I went over this with someone once before but would like to hear from you. Thanks

Provided everything is healthy, E60 is the sweet spot for power and the fuel system with proper tuning. From all indications in your logs....you should be fine with that.
Others run more for various reasons but beyond E60...you need to be on top of things.

E60 is sufficient for map 7.
When I ran JB4 w/flash I would run E60 and use map 2 as my DD and map 7 when I wanted the extra power.

I recommend moving over to the flash side of things. Also it looks like your iat constantly increase significantly. Which fmic are you using?
