BMW 1 Series Convertible

Fourth model is added to the Leipzig product range in December.
The BMW 1 Series Convertible will be added to the product range of the Leipzig plant. Besides the 3 Series Sedan, the 1 Series (3 door) and the 1 Series Coupé, the 1 Series Convertible will be the forth model to roll off the Leipzig production lines. The start of series production is anticipated for December 1, 2007 and the market launch for March 22, 2008. This new model of BMW's compact series is solely produced in Leipzig for the world market. It is anticipated to also sell this model in the USA. The number of cars produced in Leipzig every day remains constant with 700 vehicles a day.

The magical date! It appears the Coupe & the Covertible will be released at the same time. :iono:

In the press release it clearly stated the 128i Convertible will be released concurrently with the introduction of the Coupes.

R&T November issue states the 128i convertible will be less than 30k, which bodes well for 128/135i pricing in general. the Euro does not bode well for pricing.
