128i Convertible E88 Parts (OEM or Aftermarket)
Hello everyone, new member here. Looking for some expert advice from the rest of the1-Series community. Woke up this morning to see my driver side mirror and housing smashed in. The plastic broke as well so I have to get the whole thing replaced. Any one know the overall cost of that? Are there any recommendations both OEM and aftermarket products sites?

Sorry to hear about it. Take a picture. Let's see the damage.

You may want to consider a 2008 or 2009 housing. I think they look better, shape is a little different. You can get part numbers from RealOEM to see what you need and whether the earlier outer housing would work with whatever you keep of what you had. I also like Tischer for discounted BMW parts on-line.

Go OEM. BMW OEM parts just have a better feel and finish to them.

When my E91's passenger side mirror was severed by a falling tree trunk during a windstorm, insurance covered the entire cost under the comprehensive section - with no premium hike.
I don't recall the price of the part, but it wasn't cheap. Tom |

It is pricey. Someone broke my housing on passenger side. I still haven't fixed it (dealer wanted me to buy a whole new mirror/housing $$$). Also looking for a better price.

Get the correct year mirrors. If your car was ever for sale as a used E88 and if I was in the market for buying a used one...I would know that something is up and your car was once damaged because the car would have the old early style mirrors.
In my opinion the later style ones look much better IMHO
