Last track day of the season complete! Tires were great, even in the wet. Now for the winter car upgrade projects...

BTW, NT01's are noisy suckers. Like a pickup truck with knobby tires. You can hear it in the video.

This was my best lap from yesterday.

Sure, no problem. I don't need a tag.

Expert@ApexRaceParts Managed to get 245/40/17 R7s to fit! Used a 20mm spacer and had to trim a tab in the fender/bumper but they look amazing and performed GREAT at Watkins Glen. Thanks for making these!

Looks awesome. Why did you have to run such a big spacer? Was it to clear your suspension perch?

Yeah to clear my front coilovers. I thought I had less room so I ran 20mm but looking again i could probably get away with an 18mm.

I believe he has MCS, but Im curious about the spring length / stack height question as well!

Phloozy Are you running any helper springs? Also, do you mind if we add these photos to our gallery as well?

I finally got mine mounted loving the look and grip but need to go to an event and really try them out.

What worked for me:
- 255/40 Falken RT660 (10.4" section width, seems like the widest 200TW tire on the market currently)
- Ohlins R&T with 6" 500lb front spring
- -3.5deg camber
- 15mm spacer (technically 12mm works and the wheel/tire does not contact anything but it was a little close for comfort, might try it in the future with narrower tires)
- Rolled front fenders and my bumper tab had already self clearanced years ago
- 10mm strut spacer

Good to get another data point! Is that 6" front spring the default length for the Ohlins kit on the 1 series or did you source it for this fitment? We'd love to see some photos of this setup if you get on track!

Ohlins R&T came with a 7" front spring, I had to swap to the 6".

Is this with fe1rx strut spacer still? Any idea on how to get ahold of him to purchase one if so?

Yeah, I tried without the strut spacer because I thought the stiffer spring would make up some of the difference but it was too low for me so I reinstalled it. I'll edit my post above.

Anyone happen to buy a set of these ET 52s and either still have them gathering dust (hopefully not!) OR have moved to a different platform, no longer need them and now be willing to part with them?

Looks like more should be around come July, but thought it was worth checking.....TIA.

We have Anthracite inbound in July alongside Race Silver which will be available for the first time in this fitment just in case you can afford to wait for the new units.

Race Silver track fitment is now in stock!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to bump this thread with a quick update. These 17x9 ET52 wheels are now available in silver and we just got more of the Anthracite wheels in stock as well. Click the image below to pick up a set if you've been waiting for more finish options

Hey guys,
Did someone with ST XTA suspension (adjustable camber plates are built-in on those coilovers) and M3 LCA try to run 17 9J ET52 with 12-15mm spacers up front?
I`m about to order them and RT660/RE71RS 245/40 17 tires. Just curious if I need to replace struts or add any spacers for struts.
Thanks in advance,
Max

Good afternoon,

Thank you for reaching out in regards to your BMW 1-Series. The 17x9" ET52 is the best option for a dedicated square track setup on the 1-Series chassis. However, that fitment really only works with motorsport-focused coilovers that utilize a linear-style front spring, allowing for improved front/inner suspension clearance. ST coilovers are known to reduce front/inner suspension clearance compared to stock, so you won't be able to run that setup with your current coilovers. I would recommend looking into coilovers such as MCS, JRZ, etc if you want to try and utilize the 17x9" ET52 square setup.

Alternatively, for use with your current suspension, you can also use the 17x8.5" ET40 with 245/40-17 tires at all four corners. That setup will require at least 5mm front spacers to clear your ST coilovers, and around -2.5 to -3.0 degrees of front negative camber to compensate for a poke and rub-free front fitment. In the rear, depending on your ride height and specific tire selection, a rear fender roll or a touch of additional rear negative camber will be required for a rub-free fit.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

-Geirsen
