Automotive News Pricing...
Automotive News posted pricing in a small article written about the 1er from Frankfurt. The article said a BMW respresentative stated that the 1er would start at just under $30,000 and the 135 will start out base price mid $30,000's. Just thought I would drop in and let you know that this is what Automotive News printed, I hope its less then that but I honestly cant imagine that it will be. What do you guys think? :iono:

European delivery drop off points.
:thumbup:We are excited about the prospects of taking delivery of a 128i convertible in Munich, next Octoberfest. We need to find out where to find a list of drop off points when we are finished with our European trip.

Disappointing (jeez I can't spell anymore, do I need two "S"?!).
We're not talking all that big a gap with the 3er. I was hopin something like $25-$27 tops for the 128 and about 30 +/- for the base 135. Add a few options or the almost mandatory premium package and it pretty much seals the deal for me that "affordable BMW" isn't affordable enough for me. Now the Q. to wait and see what might happen, or just get on with life and get something else. The poor ole Miata is really starting to give me some fits. |

A V6 accord starts at 28k. There is no way BMW can price something like the 135i at 30k in 2008. 35k will be a steal, especially considering the performance. My 193hp 2000 328ci MSRPed for 38k, 7 years ago!

That $28k Accord is fully loaded, to get that same level of equipment on a 128 will probably cost another $8k in options. Also, that $38k adjusted for inflation would be $45k in 2007 dollars. For the record my guess on base price is 128 $28k, 135 $33k.
