Lug nuts?

Ordered some half inch spacers for my rear to get a good flush seating but failed to notice they didn't come with extended nuts. Any direction on to where I can get some good quality nuts? I've heard horror stories of cheap nuts snapping

Are you talking about bolts or studs and nuts? Regardless, can get them from Turner, though I am not sure if the quality has declined since they were acquired by ECS.

Specifically bolts, and good point. I'll probably look around at their reviews.

If you're running spacers it's probably worth considering installing studs. If nothing else, it will make it a lot easier to mount your wheels.

Now that I'm thinking of it, would it be better to do the stud conversion when I get a new set of rims, or just do it now with the stock 18"?

As long as the studs are long enough to accommodate the spacers when you swap over, it doesn't really matter when you do it. Bear in mind you may need open-ended lug nuts to run with the stock wheels, as the longer studs may bottom out without the spacers in place.

I have the 75mm from VAC. They're good quality, and work well for the ET45 Apex EC7s with 5mm spacers. They stick out quite a bit with the stock 7/7.5" wheels and no spacers.

Thanks for the heads up, how difficult is it to do a conversion?

It's putting some Loctite red on the studs, and bolting them in to the hub, where the lug bolts would usually go.

Ok I'm back, and now I have question, is it ok to use 5x43 lug nuts? They are 2mm to big, 26 is stock plus my 15mm spacers, would this be an issue or can this be a benefit? I would have more to thread. Any insight on this?

You'd want a stud that's at least 15mm longer - for the spacer - than one for a standard car. You don't have the same space constraints that extended lug bolts have.

For extended lug bolts, you don't want them to be too much longer than necessary, otherwise you could destroy everything behind the hub (e-brake in the rear) as soon as you move. 2mm ought to be fine, I wouldn't want much more though...

The exact length needed is 41 but ecs only sells 40 and 43. So I figured longer is better
