Cracked intake tubing
Hello all! I've just purchased a new to me 135i and trying my hand at doing my own install on a VRSF downpipe. I've pretty much never done any mechanic work, and I'm trying to learn from YouTube videos. Unfortunately I cracked some tubing connected to the lower part of the intake trying to remove some of the plastic covers. Do I need to replace the tubing or is it okay to use some kind of glue/sealant? I also found what seems to be some oil inside the tubing and was wondering if that's normal.
Thank you so much in advance for any help and advice! |

I doubt you'll be able to glue that tube together. From the pics, it looks to me to be part of the PCV system. Instead of replacing the tubing, I'd look into putting in an oil catch can because installing an oil catch can involves removing that tubing.

Crankcase vent hose is what you cracked in case you ever want to get back to stock.
