OEM manual shifter alternatives for N54 135i

I just recently swapped the N54 manual gearbox (GS6-53BZ) into my N55 135i as my synchros have gone in two different gearboxes...



I have a new OEM shifter carrier arm, bushings, and DSSR. However, the 135i N54 OEM shifter lever is discontinued. Additionally the PPK short shifter is discontinued, and most if not all 128i shifter levers are discontinued.

What can I do in this situation if I want to stay OEM or have a close to OEM experience?

I purchased and installed an RTD V3 shifter a week ago because I always wanted the experience of a chassis mount shifter and I needed a shifter.




Surprisingly I wasn't really a fan of it. Shifts were solid and it is a quality piece, but with full delrin and poly bushings on a stock shifter setup it wasn't remarkable. Will be for sale if anyone would like to pick it up, it is practically brand new.

I had a Racing Dynamics short shifter that is really poorly made and fell apart. So I would like to stay OEM or at least something as close to OEM as possible.

Unable to find a used N54 135i shifter lever anywhere, I have purchased a N54 E92 335i shifter lever on eBay. Will this work?

The E9x lever will work but the shift lever will be angled towards the passenger seat. It's really only noticable in 5th gear and only you will notice it.

I got one from AutoSolutions. He still makes proper E82 SSKs.
