Maybe. I've heard that the public days are super crowded but I might stop by to spectate.

Yeah, I was looking for days that the track is open to the public but didn't see anything about open to the public.

PRD's are filled like crazy for the 1/4 mile track. Justin went there one time and was only able to do one run because he kept getting bumped back because they wanted Audi's and VW's up front.
I'll be in Italy for that. Also, Hockenheim touristenfahrens pop up always at the last minute and lately it has been on Thursdays from 1600-2000

Ohhh so you want to drag your car Josh?
Wouldn't the drag's at Bittburg airfield or German Race Wars be the ticket?

Airfield runs would be best because I'm not really looking forward to lunching my car with stock clutch . I'm already looking at SPEC Stage 3 with aluminum flywheel.

It was an entertaining party/event, however I went for the 1/4 track specifically. It was an unprepped airstrip with a very cheep drag light and timing system setup. I got one run in over 4 hours and spun through 3rd all the way to a high 14 second time @ 109mph. No amount of feathering was gonna help as I might as well have been on ice. Even RWD cars with DRs were spinning like crazy and pissed about how shitty the "track" was. Does Hockenheim prep their 1/4 mile track? I would be just fine with getting one or two runs just to see what the 1er will do on a decent track.

IMO, id try to get a flywheel that is closer to stock weight. New Fiftyninefifty from the FB group recently did this and has said that it now has an immense amount of chatter. The clutch if great and is much heavier in the pedal feel, but unless you can stand the noise id shy away from the lightweight flywheels. I went with a single mass on my GTI and its seriously too loud when you are just sitting their in neutral.

Hockenheim does prep their track as it is the only SANCTIONED pro 1/4 mile track in this area as I know of. They normally have Nitrolympics the week after. For that one they bring pro dragsters to that.

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_d...r-Rennstrecken
Dragster-Rennstrecken in Deutschland Hockenheimring, Hockenheim Airbase Wittstock Wittstock/Dosse Mehrzweckanlage Luckau Flugplatz Aalen-Heidenheim, Aalen-Elchingen ehemaliger Militärflugplatz Bitburg Flugplatz Alkersleben bei Erfurt / Thüringen Flugplatz Kindel bei Eisenach in Thüringen I think Nic is right, that Hockenheimring is the only sanctioned event.
