Nürburgring Again 7/27-28

I know many of you guys will be carving the canyons this weekend. Hope you have a blast. If you still have some urgent need for speed I'll be at the ring again the following weekend. its open full day both saturday sunday. there is a motorcycle event on the gp track same weekend. also a classic car rally. so should be plenty of cool machines to check out.

I'm up for guided laps. Rides. Whatever. You want to learn a good safe line around the course, let me know. want racing line. sure. you want to show me your awesome line on the course i'm always happy to learn too.

hope to see some of you out there.

We're driving as many passes as we can in 3 days, 2 in Italy and 1 in Austria.
Check the thread for details.

If the weather cooperates I'll be going to the 'Ring the following Sunday.

Pretty much everybody here is going on the Stelvio trip. But I should have that following weekend off and would love to head over to the Ring. Anybody else?

I will be driving back and leaving the car home. I'll be catching up with the family in Southern Italy as my wife is from the Puglia region of Italy.

She's currently helping her mom care for her dad after a critical accident back in March. He is recovering well but can't walk just yet. Once back, I definitely plan to head to the 'ring. That will be in late August.

If the weather is good on Sunday I'll be there. A coworker wants to take his new-to-him Cayman S as well.

EDIT: just checked the times. 08:00 Saturday and 10:15 Sunday. I might try to head up on Saturday just to get there sooner...

I'm off Friday, I'll help you drive one of them. ;-)

Thinking it will be Sunday after all. I have some errands to run on and, of course, nothing is open Sunday.

Worst case scenario today: just enough rain to bring up the oil to the surface, not enough rain to wash it away. I've never seen it that slick, and last time I drove in the pouring rain. There were 2 cars (1 seriously damaged) and 1 bike (total loss but the rider was OK) off within the first 45 minutes. Glad to be home with Nina in one piece!

Sunday was a bummer. it was super slick especially in wipperman and eschbach.

Saturday was perfect though. quite little traffic.

I even went and checked out the old Sudschleife and then hiked to the inside of the karussell. what a great weekend.

some in my group had more fun that others. i'm glad we all have the same screw loose though. great seeing you guys out there! love that green wrap on yours!
