Battery distribution box relocation?

Hello,

Has anyone removed the positive terminal/post connection from the distribution box and separated it with a wire? Basically, I’d like to go to a microlite battery but the battery is too small to have the whole dist. box on top so sticking it on the side of the battery would be ideal.

I would think that as long as you use an appropriately sized cable it would be fine. I am using an antigravity ATX30 battery and just barely fit the dist panel, but I plan to clean up the wiring at some point.

That exactly where I plan to put mine. Did you trim the foam to hold the battery or just remove it and secure the three modules another way?

Also, what delete plate is that? I’m doing a 1m conversion and see no need to waste money on the battery tray so I’m just allocating that to a lithium battery and blanking out the batter tray. I was planning to make a carbon fiber delete plate but if it’s cheap enough I’d buy one for sure.

I removed all the TPMS and coded on the FTM system so no modules or tire sensors.

Make your own, I bought this from Hard thinking it would line up better (it's made for an e92) and it wasn't even close. More details in my build thread, but you'll need to reroute some wiring through the body.

Thanks man, much appreciated. Yea I plan to just make a simple carbon plate, then lay my stock battery tray on it upside down and trace and trim. No reason it shouldn’t fit perfect but I can trim accordingly.

I’m also removing tpms but have comfort access and I haven’t researched what the other module is. Nonetheless, the microlite battery will easily fit there on its side with some slight trimming of the foam spacer.
