Recaro Seats - Seat Occupancy Sensor
Hi,
I have pre ordered 2 new Recaro Pole Position seats for my 2009 E82 135i. Hoping someone can tell me how to overcome the seat occupancy sensor either through coding it out or adding a module plug in module (I can't seem to find one specifically for Australian spec as they indicate they are for USA spec only). I've seen a YouTube install video and it looks simple enough though wanted to know if anyone has input. |

Pretty sure you can find them on eBay. I have a set for my car which I've never installed yet. I think Jeff bought some for his car and they work fine.

I was looking at aftermarket seats for some time and my research found most people had to code them. I never purchased any so I can't be sure.
If you figure it out make a post for future reference |

I think you can code out the airbag lights and such as well as code out the incessant binging for occupancy sensors but pretty sure you need to trick the car into thinking there is someone in the car as well as airbag still present. Check eBay as I said before. You'll find what you're looking for without too much difficulty. The ones that I bought were actually from the UK, so pretty sure they're not US spec.
