Let the shenanigans begin 1M clone plus S65

Just a quick update.

I talked to Kassel performance and confirmed a suspicion about the brake booster. The S65 may not always produce enough vacuum at start up so they added a pump to increase vacuum. It was stated that it runs for 60 seconds a start up and that was it.

I will be coding it out and not using it. I would have to weld the bracket and route 2 more plugs through the left firewall. Its also 1.5 lbs not on the front end

. The tentative downside is that I will not be able to drive the car within 30 seconds or so because of soft brakes, got to let the car warm up anyway.

Tomorrow i should be meeting with the painter to nail down the details on the body and paint. I will be staying with the stock color instead of doing some crazy full body paint=pain in the ass+$$$$

You're a trooper OP. What a project! If you don't mind sharing, how much money are you in so far? Just curious to know...

$10500 salvage M3
$4800 in bodywork all OEM
$2000 wheels tires apex and pss4
Planning on about $10k in paint/ body misc parts
Plus lots of personal time

been busy for awhile car is getting ready for body after the new year. the parts collection continues.

this popped up on BAT

I saw that they kept the air pump for the brake booster. I will say there is way more that 60k in that car. sheeze.

Alright I will go back to my hole and try to get rid of all the spare parts including a N54T that is sitting in my garage now.

Saw that BAT car, as well. That's great and it looks pretty, but for the money, I wouldn't go that route. Have much more interest in a car I could use, ahem, abuse .

You picked up a 335is to part out in addition to this project? Ambitious and congrats!

things have been slow on the body side, i have amassed a couple more parts like a set of Ohlins and exhaust. My body guy is waiting for joint pieces to arive to get it done correctly. here are a couple pics. winter in Michigan sucks this year, we go more snow today. with the freezing temps it just makes the roads worse.

My Saturn Sky Redline had a similar problem, and fix.

Maybe for inspecting for rust, or for repairing dents like the ones on my car, right on the body lines.
