thump when the hi beams are on.....?

Just wondering if its just my car but whenever i flick the high beams if i listen closely there is a thump when i do it... anyone noticed this.. i haven't changed a thing on the car wonder if anyone else does this....

Haven't heard that sound at all, and I was switching on and off my high beams for a five minute period during my drive in the mountains.

Is your stereo on? If so, turn it off and see if you still hear the thump. It could be a voltage surge being picked up by the speakers. The reaosn I say that is because I hear a slight bump on mine when the lights are turned on or off while the stereo is on.

That is completely normal. That's how bi-xenon works. so whenever you switch the high beams you will hear a thump.

Exactly - bi-xenon is designed to be used as an all-in-one system. Once your HIDs are on, activating the high beam will open the metal flap in the headlight assembly, providing the driver with a full beam of light. Returning to low beam will close the flap, which will cut off half the beam of light, thus simulating low beam.
