Keep us posted.

Was the oil on your plugs wet? As in if you wipe your fingers over the threads is your fingers black and oily? I think mine were just dark in color and no wetness or oil was present.

When I say oil on plug I mean the oil leaked into the plug/coil hole. Fair bit of oil in the plug wells, tips of 3 coil packs came out with alot of oil on them

Good news so far. Code is completely gone. Went for a long drive in the 35deg heat today and tried everything to get it back but couldn't.

I daily drive my car and I will see how it goes this week but so far I'm very pleased.

So things I replaced that may have contributed;

1. Solenoids
2. Valve cover
3. Fuel pump - installed fuel it stage 2

Good luck!

Good to hear. Just waiting for my solenoids to arrive. Hopefully issues will be gone with their replacement!

There is a lot of misconceptions about cracked valve covers.

The N54 engine doesn't get its vacuum from the manifold, it gets it from a vacuum pump and will have no effect of any boost related error's.

But what a cracked valve cover will do is cause oil leaks over spark plugs and
give you misfires.

Solenoids have been installed. Unfortunately after some back to back runs I noticed on my p3 vent gauge the max boost was starting to climb: 18, 18.3, 18.5, 19. I think any further would have pushed it into overboost. I think I've exhausted all other possibilities bar turbo. May pull the trigger on some hybrids unless there is something else to try. My new clutch is working a treat though!

There's a thread over on BB that is a few pages long that I got the idea from to change out my LPFP. He said it solved his problem. Do you have stock LPFP still? If your going to go hybrids your going to need to upgrade it anyway, maybe worth doing the pump first and see what happens?

Yeah I would except the way that guy's 30FE code pops up is under different conditions. Mine only happens after multiple back to back runs. It's almost like due to overheating.

Thought the upgraded LPFP was for running ethanol?

not on ethanol, its to keep your hpfp fed properly and prolong its life and keep fuel pressures consistent to help avoid misfires.

Also run a little bit of ethanol to keep your misfires and knocks at bay.

If your going to run anything over 15 psi boost, a stage 2 is a must in my opinion to keep your hpfp happy.

Which clutch/flywheel did you end up going for? And what was the cost? I am getting some clutch slippage on tuned boost, although the clutch holds fine under stock power.

I also encountered this problem at 120,000 km, let me know who was able to fix it
