Painting honeycomb grille

Did a lazy search. I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere.

Who has painted their honeycomb grill (in front of the IC)?

I hate how dingy black it is. I want to paint it gloss black but don't want to remove it (I know, lazy).

Any warnings against taping it off and brushing it with gloss black paint?

Anyone have a better way?

Btw just added carbon fiber splitters and kidneys.

I think this will help bring it all together.

You could look at something like adam's in and out spray that should bring them back to like new? It's an aerosol spray, should be safe and for $15, might be worth trying first.

Thanks. I'm always up down for an inexpensive solution (if it has a high probability of working).

However, a spray would require removing the grill which either means removing the bumper or removing the under plate and working it outward.

For such a small cosmetic improvement I'd rather not remove it.

I think it's a brush on solution or nothing for me.

...maybe there's a way to spray to a pan and transfer to a brush? Either way I'll give it a look. Thanks for the recco.

You don't need to remove it for that spray, just spray on there and wipe any excess off the painted areas. Done.

You can tape off and then slide a piece of cardboard behind it. Spray and be done.

That's pretty simple. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Nice!

Plastidip with Glossifier...Just an idea, not sure if it will work but you can peal off the excess.
