SimonB....They also have a holding area across the road. I've been in there. They have dozens of cars in there. Having said that I don't know if they still use it. That garage under the dealership isn't big.

No, it's true, AutoClassic haven't received any yet. There is a press vehicle floating around I've been told but the first stock of three (two demo for launch, one private sale) is due to them very shortly (even as early as today, Wednesday). I'm also pestering the salesmen to gimme a sneak peak before launch on the 22nd :P

My concern was not that the car would be used as a demonstrator for test drives, but simply rolled into the showroom with all the other 1's that were waiting to be delievered.

I can see that it would be attractive to a dealer to have a showroom full of shiny new 1 series cars for the launch night.

mines in the shed at the north wharf, cant get a look at it though. if only they parked it outside like the golfs, landrovers etc arghhhhhh!.

I'm guessing the 1 private car must be mine then! can't wait. Surprised they are having just 2 on display at the launch though.

will be interesting to see if mines 'on display'

Steve,

Has your dealer given you a pick up date for your car? I know my car is in the country, and has been for the last couple of weeks but my dealer seems to be avoiding giving me a delivery date.

Keen?.......I'll tell you aboput keen. Me and my two boys (22 and 24) went down to Berth 10 at Freo at 6pm on the 14th to watch the cars being unloaded ifrom the Tortugas in the rain. I didn't spot my 135i (white with sun roof) but saw just about every other car before we froze to a standstill. We noticed that the VW's were all lined up outside but the BMW's seemed to have their own nice little shed.

Steve, they have two 135i coupe's for the launch. Also have some convertibles and the 125i's so i'm sure there will be more than just the two cars on display next week.

Took my car in for a warranty issue on the weekend, talked to the service guy about the 135 and all the great reviews it was receiving, led me out the back to the service area where they were preparing a 135 for the launch on this coming Saturday. Was in pre-delivery mode, even though it wasn't sold, essentially he said to have it road ready. on the subject of KM's on the clock prior to delivery, I told him my car came with about 40km on it, and he said that the service guys have to take them for a spin to make sure everything is in order, and that is what he was looking forward to for this 135! So I guess depending on how enthusiastic is your dealership and it's service guys determines how many KM's are on your car prior to delivery. Regarding the launch, unfortunately the dealer won't have it available for test drive but he did mention they are getting another demo vehicle up here. Spoke to the sales guy about a trade in but I think i'll lose too much on the 335. (maybe 30-40k)
