Tea for four with the 1M
Some 1M comparisons discuss to death how this pocket rocket performs when driven by skilled pilots during back-to-back road tests, sometimes merely on circuits.
However, sometimes they overlook the practicality of one of the objective real life advantages which a substantial number of the more expensive higher profile cars and exotics miss: the 1M allows four people - instead of two - to enjoy together its massive torque in a normal seating position. "So I want to warn you, laddie Though I know you're perfectly swell But my heart belongs to Daddy 'cause my Daddy he treats it so well" Favorite commands of this damsel in no distress: "Faster!" and "Again!". |

Love it. The 1m easily fits 2 car seats back there.
My 4 yr old refers to the 1M as the "noisy car". More than one occasion a cold start up woke everyone up a bit earlier than normal. Hard not to smile at that with the wife who was less than amused. |

Whether on board of the 1M, in some high or speedy fairground attraction or inside a plane taking off at full throttle, she likes G-forces. Often triggers a manic laugh and "vroom-vroom". She calls the 1M "the orange car".

Hah! My daughter is 16 months and when we go down to the garage she always reaches out for the M over the X3 and says "ooooo rmmmmm". She loves it in her little maxi cosi in the back!

Artemis, great thread! I'm with you all the way.
I've got a 7 month old daughter and a 29 month old daughter who both fit in the back. My toddler fits behind my seat in a special BMW car seat that later converts to a booster seat. I'm 6,2 and she has enough room behind me. The 7 month old in the rear facing car seat also fits in behind my wife! I can so relate to your daughters excitement. Whenever we go into the garage or go out in the VO 1m she refers to it as "Daddy's fast car" and the smile on her face when I start it from cold and she goes "vroooooooooom vroooooooooom" is worth the money alone!! |
