513m Wheels on e82

So I'm planning on changing my 1er's wheels pretty soon and have done my fare share or research, I looked at VMR as well as Breyton but I never got over 513m wheels as they look amazing. From what I understood they wont fit measuring at 18x9.0 Front (ET29) 18x10.0 Rear (ET40).
So today my friend sends me a link http://https://europeanautosource.co...ech-sport.html and from what I see its the 513m wheels on a 1 series. Im a total noob at wheel fitment and all but any idea on how I'm able to get them on my ride, as in set up and all. I'm gonna be running a stock suspension.

Jesus, that looks bad. Wheels themselves are great, but that poor thing is just awful to look at. Wheels poke too much and tires are very stretched. Very bad fitment.

Check out Apex if you are looking for a relatively cheap lightweight set of wheels.

Didn't realize any of what you guys said. My thought was how can I fit them, but they poke out and it's simply a bad fitment, I believe for now I shall stick to my stock wheels and in time decide what I get.

Best bet if you're hung up on the looks, which I get: its personal, would be to try to find a replica wheel which looks somewhat similar in 8" width 45ish offset and run it square. Then you'll be able to appropriately tire the thing.

Thanks for the share, great to see them installed on a 1. I'm also hung up on these wheels as they are forged and lighter than Apex. 18" 513M, front = 8.92kg (19.6lbs) 9JX18 ET:29, rear = 9.44kg (20.8lbs) 10JX18 ET:40. As far as the poking out, I think they would be perfect for a 1M conversion.

Desperately want these wheels. Looking to see if getting the wheels machined to increase the offset is possible ....

I think the 513 is one of the coolest most badass wheels BMW has ever made and I'm thinking about these for my 1M but was looking to see how the look on E82. I agree they look bad because of the fitment from the rear but from the side they look great in my opinion. I'm not a fan of spacers but this is a top notch, high quality light weight wheel in 18" which is for more go than show so I am grateful for these pics. I'm not sure how comfortable I feel running a 15mm spacer in the rear but these look good on the car and I think will look good on 1M with larger fenders.

Thank you.

I have them on the F80 and they're the best. OEM forged wheel under 10kg with great design. Can't get much better than that, but I wouldn't run spacers myself.

Doesn't Apex make ARC-8 in E9x M offsets? Good affordable alternative, not forged but still lighter than 359's; otherwise, you'd have to go BBS RI-A or some HRE.

I have found these pics for you. https://medias.motorsport-passion.co...26ac0bc5f0.jpg

Yes, APEX make the correct offsets for my car in the EC7 and I like it very much. I actually owned a set on my first 1M but I really like the 513 so I might be willing to run a spacer in the rear if I have to. I agree, I am not fan of spacers but if I can find a good deal on set of 513s, I would try it.

I don't like how the ARC8 look on the 1M, though I like them very much on other cars.

The BBS RIA is very nice but only comes in 9.5" front and 10.5" rear so you run incorrect tire sizes and they stick out past the fenders in the front unless they special order the 18x9.5 ET27 version from japan but they are very expensive and i am not sold on the look. If I thought they were the best looking wheel, i would spring for them but I found the spokes too rounded as they come out and the center area and center cap too small that it looks weird. Funny becauase the FI has a slightly larger center and less rounded spokes and looks great to me.

These are just really cool wheels and I might gamble on the spacer working out OK.

here is a pic of my first 1 with APEX EC-7. My current one is Orange.
