1m Coupe in Burnout contest

I haven't seen this posted yet. Looks like the 1M holds its own. Kind of a odd contest though.

Lol. Ford targets the M3 on track, and then loses a burnout contest to a 1M.

Great, Challenger wins burnout of 147 ft. Read: Challenger keeps on trying to put power to the ground while 1///M completes the quarter mile. LOL

Man, us Yanks have some weird tests when measuring a car's worth!

Agree. BMW's are only for sophisticated people of status and means not for the pulled pork crowd. Those people are simply not worthy of such a fine machine.

I have to disagree..

...I like my BBQ like no ones business...

This car wasn't meant for "burnouts", it's a handling car.
Rednecks need to get a 600HP+ drag car for that crud...

Definitely the stupidest comparison the 1M has entered so far.

So yeah, get your American muscle car and do your burnouts at the red light, while I'm already at the next.

"Pushrods and burnouts go together like mullets and Marlboros, after all"

You haven't seen the 0-60 on ice comparison yet....

It's a sad day when a road-course car from Bavaria lays a longer stripe than classic American muscle. But that's exactly what the littlest M car did

Thumbs down Edmunds Inside Line: 1M Coupe loses to Challenger SRT8

The Mopar fanboys are drooling. 1M beats the Challenger in almost every respect, but Edmunds still chooses it. Beats me

http://www.insideline.com/dodge/chal...s-m-coupe.html

Favorite part:

Quote:
The 2011 BMW M Coupe? It starts, runs, accelerates and idles like a vacuum. Sure, it's an expensive, exacting vacuum built by a team of engineers who fully understand sucking. And in the end it's a masterful machine carefully calibrated for sucking precision. But it's so focused on sucking that it's virtually emotionless. Even its burnouts are antiseptic.
This is the same website where the 1M beat a freakin' mustang in a burnout contest. But now the burnouts are "antiseptic".

^Why did my post get moved??

I posted a completely different article, a dedicated full comparison between the 1M and the SRT8, and only referenced the burnout comparison in passing. It's not part of this thread, it was meant to be it's own thread..
