That shipping date will likely change or just be wrong.

I'll have some pics later today. Car is currently in shop getting a new water pump and thermostat!

They make the front look much more aggressive than the OEM performance grills.

Ordered the $39 set from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) on April 27th. Arrived May 15th.

Installed them tonight. Probably the same set everyone else has. They don't snap into the slots like the original ones (Genuine BMW Performance black grills were installed), so they feel loose and you could probably pull them out with no trouble.

I find them actually to be harder to clean because you can't use your finger between the dual slots.

I'll probably keep them in for the time being. Freshens up the front. Here are a bunch of pics.

FWIW, mine were s u p e r loose
I ended up pulling the bumper so I could freely access the clips and secure things properly.

Note- I have a 1M rep bumper, and it's very easily/quickly removed, so no big deal to me at all. In comparison my OE grills and ECS grills both fit OE tight- you have to /work/ to remove them. These double slat grills could be removed with your pinky finger only... Loose enough I worried they would just fall out.

That said, they look freaking awesome. I love these things, and am happy to have them.

Mine were, and did fit correctly with both my OE and ECS grills- so you could make a chrome outer double slat configuration.

I almost went that way, but decided to stick with all black in the end.

Yeah I'm thinking about ordering a pair and doing the chrome on the outside, I think that'd look pretty neat.

Oh yes, mine do the same thing. Some how they've never fallen off though. It's only a matter of time though
UPDATE: after a year of having them on, one finally fell out. I'm surprised it lasted this long. I put the stock chrome ones back on for the time being and wow, I forgot how much I fucking hate them lol. I'm thinking of either getting OEM black out kindeys or getting the carbon fiber ones from ECS

Wow... no shit! Now I don't feel so bad spending 2x the price on OEM.

I'm honestly surprised they held on as long as they did. I mean you could literally pull it off with your hand lol. I wonder if the ECS branded ones are as good as OEM

Just installed OEM gloss black grills on my 2008 135i convertible. Purchased through ECS. Look great!

Never noticed that. I believe that is incorrect, since the same BMW part number is used on all 2008-2013 1-series.

Did anyone ever do the double slat with chrome? I’m thinking about ordering some but currently have the 135is/128i version with black slats and chrome frame. On space gray the all black just looks dull with big black holes in front.
