Outstanding. With any luck more owners of the earliest delivered cars will be receiving theirs as well. How many pages is the volume?

119 numbered pages, plus 12 or so "Notes" pages at the end where you're supposed to jot down your "stories" with your 1.

It's a very nice book, quite good quality. As someone else mentioned, the hardcover is covered in a soft leather(-like?) material.

Each Chapter heading page is protected by a sheet of paper vellum. Still, my page 88-89 is smudged from the printing process, it seems.

Some more pictures of some of the more interesting pages/pics:

Note that the tread pattern is not that of the RE050A, however.

This one is a really nice 2 page spread

Great looking book. Too bad they put your VIN sticker in crooked. Damn I hate my attention to detail. Regardless, I can't wait for mine.

its interesting that the hand-drawing in one of the pics shows the car with a low sloping roof like the e92. wonder who made the call to 'raise the roof'

I don't think the certificate sequence matches the production sequence. I had a production date of Feb 22, and I think production of US-bound 1ers started in early January.

I'm also pretty certain more than 6 people took delivery of their 1s prior to me on March 26. There were probably 4 or 5 before me here on 1addicts alone.

I don't know how I got to be #6, honestly.

I think it would be great to have a thread that updates with a list of owners with certificate numbers in order. I haven't received my book as yet so someone else can start the thread if they wish. Might do a copy/paste approach or better if someone has an idea.

Not for military sales???

I was told by my CA that the book/certificate didn't apply to military sales purchases; somehow they are seperate from BMWNA. Has anyone else heard this? Don't get it, so we get the start button ring but no book. Has anyone else been told this?:iono:
