245/40/18 front fitment issues
Made this unfortunate discovery the hard way the the shop yesterday.
While my strut setup may be partially to blame, I thought I would share my experience. Wheels: Apex Arc-8, standard 135i staggered set up (8.5/9.5) Tires: Falken Azenis RT615K, 245/40/18 front, 265/35/18 rear Suspension: Ohlins DFV Coilovers with Vorshlag plates, M3 control arms Others: Rolled fenders, front bumper trimmed by wheel to prevent rubbing One issue with the Azenis 40 series tire is that they are taller than the stock tire, causing it to rub on the strut perch under load as well as on the fender well just behind the front bumper. One factor is the slightly lowered suspension, but all of this can be corrected with a 7mm spacer and 2+ degrees of camber. The larger issue still remains - the width of the tire. In order to get the wheel/tire to clear the strut, a 7mm spacer was required. In order for it to not rub the strut, a 10mm spacer was required, however that caused the wheel/tire to stick out past the fender so excessively that even with 2.5 degrees of camber, fender rubbing still occurred under load. Proposed Solution: 235/40/18 RT615k's, 7mm spacer, 2.5 degrees camber. Won't know until later this week. Will post updates - Note: still tons of room in the rear with the 265's, will be running spacers to make them sit more flush (rear fenders are rolled too)

Nope! I tried ordering those from the get-go but no luck. Not sure what the thinking is behind not offering 35 series fronts to match their rears... I'm not a wealth of knowledge on tires sizes... Is 35 an odd size for a front tire?

yep...not many tires offered in a 245/35/18; only ones I remember seeing were R-comps.

Is there 255/35 available? That's what I'm running in the front and have plenty of clearance at -2.1* camber and final ET43. Although, my spring perch is quite a bit above the tire allowing more room. Maybe you should consider getting shorter spring so you can spin the perch above the tire?

Problem was resolved with 235/40/18 tires, 10mm spacer, 2.5' camber. Sits very flush
