Rear seat deletes

Hey everyone, it seems hard to find a pre-fabbed rear seat delete. I found this company that is taking pre-orders and after I put mine in they only need 1 more person to order to start the design process and make them. If anyone else is interested please put in an order so they can get to work making them!

edit : for the sake of transparency I know there's a lot of scammers on forums and my account is pretty new. here is the e-mail between myself and the company.

Honestly I think i prefer the DIY method and its much cheaper, and also gives for an open trunk.

Open trunk are = more space, and more exhaust

I just installed a Street Faction kit with my buddy (@shadesbro on instagram) on his e46 M3. Nice quality kit and good fit. Zero issues with install.

Curious as to why the wouldn't make it out of carbon fiber sheets instead of the metal.

I agree... I would be fine with some strong plastic though the metal is not good for weight reduction.

Any idea what is up with the huge hole?

I got an email back from them. They never mentioned anything to me about needing more people to design everything so I'm assuming they got everyone they needed and started already.

That being said, they did said everything is built to order and to expect a 2-3 month lead time.

I also asked about weight considering the only reason id get rid of my rear seats is for weight. They said it can be expected to be roughly 40lbs but you can pay extra to get it aluminum and it would be roughly half the weight.

Not sure what they are making, I did not click. It's the seat back with all the weight. You could leave your cushion in and just use lightweight material to block the trunk opening if you wanted to. I left my cushion out, sits fine for short term passenger hauling. I built a very lightweight wood then later lucite block for the opening, broke both and gave up.

Back then everyone picked on me in my thread. Said I ruined a BMW..lol.

How much weight is being saved here? $450 seems like a lot to me to cut out some patterns in aluminium or other light material. I can't imagine the whole seat weighs more than 100lbs.

Hardly worth it IMO. Rather get a front mount or exhaust. The Berk race will save at least 30 and sound amazing.

If you want to save weight you don't need to replace the seats with anything and you can just throw them back in in 5 minutes after your "event" is over.

The $450 replacement is a bad design, because for something that's permanently there it serves little apparent purpose except as a cargo guard...which, if you're eliminating the seat to save weight, why do you want to carry that much cargo?

Also it doesn't address the main problem with taking out the seats in a street car which is the noise. Check the foam sheet aisle at the hardware store next time you're there and make something better for $20.

I plan to do this since i fcuked up my rear carpet (under seat). My cooler leaked a lot of water and sat for about a week. had a little pool and stunk up everything
Edit: i give up. The bottom bolt on the rear seat hinge is worse than death.
