I do wish that they would address the headlights, even if it were just a little--but the front of the car is so damn aggressive--man it looks good!

I agree with you. If I had one thing for them to tweak it would be that. I'm a part of a lot of auto forums and that is most people's biggest gripe. Whatever, we're 1ADDICTS!

Scott did say that the M1 would get a sportier Headlight. Even if they don't, the headlights now appear smaller on the car because of its wider stance.

Considering M cars are about performance, I find it interesting that so many of you are sold by photoshop renderings only. Lets not be fanboys just yet. Aesthetics are just one part of the equation. It's looking good, but definitely not sold on it without the rest of the variables.

I agree with you both--it is like I hardly notice the headlights in the redering...and that is a good thing....

Some renderings of the back would be nice too....if anyone is listening!

We are seeing what Scott was talking about. The bumper would give it a more sunk-in appearance. Just like it does on the E92 M3. It does just that. We will have to wait to see it in person as modern BMW's do not photograph well.

It's because the 135i is already pretty fantastic. It's not going to be worse. Most cars with an M badge kick absolute ass. An X6M will beat an E46 M3 on the 'Ring. Say what? It's stupid fast too and super competent. The 135i was already the better starting point. There is just little doubt in our minds.

What variables? BMW Motorsport does not screw around when it comes to driving mechanics, I have never been in an M car that was in any way disappointing and I have driven the majority of them.

In fact, since we know most or all of the E9x M3 parts are a direct swap into the E8x, I'd be surprised if they didn't just carry over the M3's entire suspension setup and diff and everything unchanged. That would save them some money and we've seen from people who've done the swap that it works really well.

That only leaves the engine as a question mark but I highly doubt they would drop the ball on that.

No doubt it will be a good car. But the question is, will it be better than the E92 M3? Price is going to be much closer to that. I have my eyes set on the E92 M3. The M1 needs to be the better car for me to consider it. I'm sure they will be close.

Depends on what your definition of "better car" is. Faster straight-line? I doubt that. On the track? Perhaps. Better mpg? Definitely(M3's a gas-guzzling porker).

My E88 renderings are with LeftLaneNews, (submitted the same time as this E82) showing a front quarter and rear quarter shot with the top down. Should be posted soon I'm guessing.

Nice. I hope it looks similar. I don't think it's suspension will be that low.
