How can I change my interior trim to something that is NOT carbon fiber?

I currently have the glacier aluminum trim and kinda hate it. Looks like cheap plastic fish scales to me. I'd love to swap it out for the glossy black or better yet this:

Anyone know where I can get the parts for this? Ideally I want it to match the door openers - not chrome but brushed aluminum. I'd really appreciate any help.

You can talk to any dealership (or for cheaper prices hit up Dan or Tischer on here as mentioned above) and ask to buy a set of interior trim pieces. They will have the part numbers and can order it up for you. However, this is kind of expensive.. at least a few hundred dollars.

There's another option, but I've never seen it done, though I know it's possible.. Many people simply wrap their trim pieces in carbon fabric. Other people who didn't get sport package on their cars wrap the exterior chrome trim in gloss or matte black material. You could definitely wrap the interior gloss black or flat black.. or any color really. White would look pretty awesome against an otherwise black interior, IMO. You just need to find vinyl in whatever color to wrap it with. Haven't really seen anyone do this, but it's technically possible and no harder than wrapping with carbon.

I have both door pieces, and the part that goes around the shifter, and the one just above that. The only piece I'm missing is the one that runs along the dash. I took these pieces off a week after my wife got her car because she wanted the carbon stuff. These pieces are in perfect condition. Piano black. Looking for $200 shipped.

I should have mentioned this before. I talked to my dealership's parts department, and they told me all I could get was the carbon fiber trim or the glacier trim I already have. I have the coral red leather in a white 135i. I really like the look of the door handle openers and would love the other trim to match.

What the dealer told you are flat out lies.

Below you will see the list of part numbers for the black gloss trim, with the cubby hole replacing the ashtray. You should be able to get the part numbers for all the different trim options from realoem.com.

The local dealer quoted me ~$600, and thebmwpartstore.com quoted ~$300 for everything.

Wow! $300 for the gloss black trim. I may have to look into that.

From what I've read, getting the trim off is no simple task. But maybe someone who's done it can tell us.

And I'm not sure that wrapping is a good option with the glacier trim. It's not smooth - it's got a real texture to it. So the wrap might not look good.

Getting most of the trim off is not a big deal if you buy the tool kit for it ($15 from ECS Tuning - click here). However, to be able to remove the trim piece that surrounds the ashtray requires to remove most of the center console, which can be a bitch.
