Bob is gonna email me the new dyno overlayed over the stock N52 run.

I'm not too savvy with codes and resetting (had my local indy do that for me today), so I'll give a week, and if it stays out of limp mode I'll take the short hop back down to Raleigh for an update and new dyno run...

Thanks for the good thoughts...

I drove 200 miles, mostly on the Interstate this morning, after having cleared the historical codes (inactive) and removing the Sprint Booster yesterday morning.

No issues...

If I can make it until the middle of next week, I think we're on to something with the Sprint Booster conflict with my tune...

I don't believe this has anything to do with MILV's one way or another...

Fingers crossed...

Heading to BPC on Monday for the last tune tweak and dyno run. Bob is gonna build in accelerator response feature now that the Sprint Booster is gone.

I think we'll be home free from there...

Thanks for the follow up...

A MT swap would help plus with the AT diff you ll make some torque

You're still having the issue or does it just feel down on power? That lag your feeling may be just the result of the throttle adaptations.

No issues...just feels somewhat down on power, so the adaptations is likely it.

Gonna let BPC sort thru that...they do great work...

I'm 65 going on 66 with a "bionic" (titanium) left knee...not sure how long I'll be able to work a clutch, which is the only reason I sought out an auto.

Otherwise...yeah...

It couldn't handle the BPC "Super Tune" upgrade, which essentially added what the Sprint Booster did...it kept throwing it into limp mode as well.

Well pleased with a 40whp gain over stock with what I've done to it...gonna keep it well maintained and drive it 'til it drops...

Managed to put 12,000 miles on it since I bought it last year...sitting just shy of 65.000 miles on the clock now...

Has a new OFH, water pump, thermostat, eccentric shaft sensor, etc...so I hope I'm good for the most part to 100,000 miles...

What was the super tune upgrade?

And did they redyno after the update and all that jazz?

The "Super Tune" was adding throttle response like the Sprint Booster does...but put it into limp mode with a torque overload code. It adds no whp...

They have re-dyno'd...it was down on power (190whp) due to faulty DISA valves that they had to replace for me. It's been steady at 224whp for 3 other dyno's with the "3 Stage + MILVS BPC tune."

Honestly, with the current BPC tune and driving in Sport Mode or running it thru the gears (remember it is an auto) I really don't see a need for added throttle response...it's just fine...

Hey guys, new to forums with a 128i ive had for about a year and a half.

I thought I would share with you the power im getting my from car.

2010 128i
slicktop
base everything + sport package
6mt
131k miles

We pushed 248whp and 207wtq at BPC

The car car has AA headers, N54 manifold and throttle body, 3" stainless intake piping to OEM airbox with KN drop in (charcoal filter removed), resonator delete, 135i rear box.

Below is a dyno of the car only, as well as a dyno with another 128i with 3 stage manifold and catless headers with BPC tune vs my car.

So the advantage of using the N54 manifold vs 3 stage manifold is an increase of 24whp and a decrease of 10wtq. Similar setups, different intake manifold and intake.

Next plans are S65 injectors + E85, MILVS, catch can, euro airbox, N55 Magnaflow. Hoping to see 300-310whp.

To see other modifications done to the car check out my build thread!

MILVs, EURO intake and Magnaflow exhaust, Upgraded tune. Can't wait to see those gains and dyno graphs.

The torque is charted from 2 different starting points...3,200 vs. 2,300. You likely don't have much difference in torque at all since they are virtually the same at 3,200...

If that overlay is for a car with headers, then it’s an automatic. A manual car will average over 200wtq from 2k to 6000RPM.
A manual car typically (on a dyno tune) will do over 225wtq (over 235wtq with the MILVs installed)

You’ll want to look at a better exhaust system (the 135i muffler is barely an upgrade) a better intake (You said you’re looking at the Eurobox - which is fine) and deleting the secondaries, getting a better Y pipe in place of the stock piece.

Even after all of this, I expect 260-270whp at the most, and that’s me being generous.
