I know people who put in a wet nitrous kit on rental cars. It's really simple and unless you know what to look for, you'd never know it was once there.

Fun times.

It can’t be any worse than a lease return. Probably a whole lot better.

My brother recently leased a Mercedes C300 demo car. It had like 4500 miles on it. With $0 down he got it for $300/mo x24 months...absolute steal.

Meanwhile there's chumps driving around Camrys and Accords.

Not saying I don't believe you, but I'd like to see that lease agreement!

At $300/month for 24-months even at a zero money factor, they'd have to be figuring depreciation of only $7,200 over two years. Even at only 30% depreciation, that means the car would have had an MSRP of $24,000?

Current M-B lease offers on a C300 for 36-mos with about $4,230 plus taxes and tags due at signing comes to $449. He got a great deal.

Yeah good point. I wasn't there with him when the papers were signed. I forgot to mention the agreement was only for 7500 miles/yr and was around May when Covid was really bad. I wouldn't be surprised if auto sales tanking at the time played a factor in the aggressive deal.
