This year's maintenance pile.

I budget about $2500 a year for maintenance. This year I think I exceeded that. Not pictured are Dinan camber plates , valve cover and fluid changes. Nothing goes unfixed and no maintenance gets neglected. Next year it's clutch , flywheel and rear main seal. Maybe an lsd if I can find the right deal.

Man I wish $2500 would have covered me this year, but in typical 2020 fashion I've been plagued with problems this year.

• 2 Ambient Air Temp sensors
• Instrument Cluster replacement
• Battery Replace
• Broken Chargepipe (upgraded to AFE)
• Front Rotors and Pads ( Upgrade to StopTech drilled and slotted)
• Radiator replacement
• New Spark Plugs
• Water Pump replacement

Here's what's fixing to go and will probably need to be taken care of before the end of the year:
• New set of Michelin PS4s
• Belt tensioner has started to squeak
• Oil Filter Housing Gasket leaking oil onto serpentine belt

I went over too, spent about 3k + on Valvetronic motor and eccentric shaft. But, it's actually the first "repair" I've ever made on the car in like 9 years of ownership, battery excluded.

What sound system do you have now? I'm really interested in a follow up on the 8" mid / subs. Hope you like them.

This year my maintenance has more than doubled the previous year and would have been much worse had Covid not canceled almost every track day I had planned.

2019: $911.24

2020: $2035.21

Mods on the other hand I've spent a lot more frivolously than the previous year.

2019: $2592.27

2020: $5,825.35

2021 is going to be even worse since my front wastegate is holding on for dear life and twins will not be in this 135i's near future.

This year has been good.
Got used tires for $225 including mounting.
Front rotors and pads for $270 I think.
Diff and trans fluid change for $80 including diff plug.
All in all, $575. Hopefully next year will need nothing, currently sitting pretty at 61k miles.

I have the Professional Sound system. I really like the subs. I thought I'd have to upgrade the whole system to get good sound but these did it for me. I have no desire to upgrade anything else.

I didn't add everything up but I did.
Rotors and pads. Valve cover. Rear Koni special active shocks with Z4 bump stops. Rear lower shock mounts. E90 hub swap with new wheel bearings. Plugs and coils. Subs. Dinan camber plates. Strut mounts. Diff , transmission , engine and brake fluid. 2 rear brake lines that connect to the subframe. I think I stressed them when I did my RSFB a few years ago. OZ Ultraleggera wheels and Yokohama S drive tires. I bought both of those used but had to get the wheels powder coated. And a new hood latch. Oh and I put in my M performance short shifter I bought the year before. I think I really blew the budget.

Carmax Maxcare covers all my repairs now. Spent 3k for it but they've already done 8k in repairs! Now I only buy used cars from CarMax because they fix anything fun near bumper to bumper. Thank you Doug Demuro!

Have had Route 66 for about 3 years now...
They paid a decent amount of repairs for my car...
Big ones, waterpump/thermo, turbos, index 12's(currently working to get those)...
It expires in October, so I'm debating on renewing with them(Route 66) or trying another aftermarket warranty...

We will see!

Good to hear. Route 66 was an option for a car I was looking at. Nice to know they pay out. Did you have to put money on top? My Maxcare is $100 per visit, not to bad.

Well to be honest...
You have to pay for fluids and gaskets...
But that's about it, they pay for everything else...
This is all dependent on the type of coverage you have, but I'm sure that's self explanatory!
