X5 wheel on 135i
Hi,
I have a 2008 135i ''M'' package. Recently, I have buy 4 wheel from a X5. I need 4 new tires. So, I don't know what size to buy. I think 225/35/19 for front and 255/30/19 for rear. It a good size? Will be safe on the road? Thanks |

not sure if those wheels will fit, maybe to wide. The tire sizes you picked are probably going to be to narrow for those wheels also.

225 will be wayyy stretched on a 9"
Offsets surprisingly look fine but the 9 and 10" widths are going to be tough. You'll need major fender work IMO. |

The rear will fit although there may be an issue with it hitting the strut. If so, just throw on a 5mm spacer for clearance so you can run a 40 offset. You will need to do fender work.
The front 9'' wheel is going to be pretty damn tough to pull off but you can probably do it if you pull the pins up front to max out the camber and pull the font fenders a good bit. Honestly once you factor in all the modification/troubleshooting and the cost of tires, it really makes me wonder if it's worth all the hassle. |

That's really not that bad of a stretch. I have 215/40s on 8.5s and 225/40s on 9.5s, contemplated stepping down to a 215/40 on the rears

Well, glad it's working for you. I wouldn't run it.
Then again, if you're gonna drive it slammed and stretched, there's other issues to worry about and you certainly won't be going anywhere fast anyways.

Why would you want wheels that make you stretch a 215 or 225 tire on em? Wouldn't you want the most contact area you can get as traction is already an issue with the power these cars make. Let alone like mentioned the wheels weigh 40lbs!! I guess I'll never get it

I recommend chnaging rear hubs/ bearing and rotors to e9x spec as per my thread if you want to have 10mm more clearance for such wild wheels

That's what's known as utterly broken.
Sometimes I wish modern tires weren't so forgiving to idiots.
