Starting in Cold Weather (~-10 deg F)
Had my 128i in Durango, CO over the holidays. On the morning that I was headed home, I had trouble getting the car to start. (It was really cold, like -10 degrees F.) On, the first three attempts the car would crank, run for an instant and then die. On the fourth attempt it ran for maybe a second. On the final attempt it kept going and I was on my way. It ended up being no big deal, but for a moment I was worried that I was going to have to call a tow truck. I'm just curious if anyone else has encountered any issues with their car in really cold weather (note that I was also at high altitude ~8800 ft).

I had something similar with my '08 VW R32 on a very cold morning (-20F). Exactly the same symptoms except that I had a malfunction light afterward. Drove it to the dealership and their computer diagnosed a misfire of spark plugs for 2 of the 6 cylinders at the time I tried to start the car...
Might be the same thing, would still have it diagnosed for piece of mind.
