Scared
I don't go to the the dealer for my first service interval until May. The car runs so good I really don't want them to mess with anything. I have no lag issues. The car breaks the tires loose effortlessly @ 1400 rpm in 1st gear.
Will they mess with my ECU (i.e., upgrade to the latest version) by default? I don't want them to. |

I heard that they do update at the first service, but not entirely sure. However, there's no need to worry about the latest software update--even those with pre-29.2/MSD80 whose cars were never crippled with any lag to begin with are actually happy with the current 32.1+ version.

When I took my car in for the first time, I was worried about the same thing so I asked them not to perform any software updates. They told me the never update without a specific reason; ie., problems that can only be corrected with new software. But, who knows?
