There aren't any left. ECS must have found a few hiding somewhere because they had a flash sale last week, but that was probably the last of what's left in the country. Unfortunately for me, ECS decided to cancel my order after I had already told other people about the sale so I didn't get one.

My 128 had a muffler delete when I bought it. Sounds okay as everything else is there.

But I'm probably going to have a 135 muffler put on when I get around to putting on my AA headers.

I already have a weekend car that is loud enough, so I kind of want to stay more conservative with this car as it is my daily driver.

Although I posted this clip in my other thread, it more properly belongs here. This is a clip of the 135i Performance Exhaust installed on my N52 128i. Stock resonators are in place and the only other mod affecting performance is the M Performance intake. It didn't sound that great after the first few days, but it has finally "broken in" and sounds amazing now, but only after about 4,000 rpm. Before that, it really doesn't sound special. Enjoy.

Regarding AA headers and 135i axleback. Is the axleback a simple bolt-on, or is there welding/fabricating involved? My plan is to do AA headers, stock mid section (keep cats and resonator), with the 135 rear section. Which I think is what yours was setup for.

Also, why did you switch back to stock manifolds? Drivability issues?

Does anybody have a Performance Exhaust that they are looking to get rid of?

I just purchased a 128i and I am pretty bummed I cannot find one online anywhere. Not surprising by any means.

If not, what do you all recommend? I am looking at the AA exhaust system and their headers. If I am looking for a beefier sound, which one would have the most significant impact? I'll probably do both eventually but trying to get to a good starting point first.

Thanks.

From my understanding the muffler will be most noise and cost effective. Headers will require a tune (more money), and will give more performance but with stock exhaust wont greatly increase volume. And has BMW discontinued the performance exhaust, cant order from a dealer?

Buy the 135i performance exhaust. You'd need cut your tailpipe to mount the 128i PE anyway. Using the 135i PE requires only a little more modification.

I will take a look, surprisingly was able to find a 135i one with ease. Weird that the 128i isn't the same. I'm sure I can figure it out, although I've read the 128i one was much easier to swap out.

You know, I decided to call up my local dealer this weekend. I will wait for a call back from them, perhaps if they don't have it they can look up nearby one's as well that might happen to have one laying around. Otherwise, when you try to get one from the BMW Shop online they say they've been discontinued for the 128i, unfortunately. So hopefully the dealer will have one, didn't even consider trying it out!

*EDIT*

Found it, I am really dumb sometimes.

I hate to break it to you, but you are in for a week of frustration. They don't have one. BMW and its dealers use an antiquated ordering system that displays items for sale that they haven't had in months. You will order the part and they will charge you only to cancel or make you call them to cancel when nothing happens on your order for a week.

In short, you will not get a 128i PE exhaust anymore. I tried for a month, including several places in Germany directly.

Need help for a 128i exhaust system

Hey y'all I need some help finding an axel back exhaust system for my 2013 128i coupe, I've looked through a bunch of forums and videos and all tht and everything's about the 135i so I need some help. I'm looking for something they can have some crackle and pop to it but nothing super loud. Sorry if I sound like a noobie but I'm new to BMWs so anything will help at this point lol.

You're in the right thread. Just listen to several of the exhausts posted here and decide which one sounds the best to you.

Right now....my 128i has the entire OEM exhaust except for a muffler delete which the PO did. I didn't know how much I would like it at first, but it's actually grown on me.

However when I get around to installing my headers, things may change and I may have to add a muffler back in which is a shame as it saves so much weight.

Kind of hoping since I will have the stock secondary cats and the resonator, that it won't be too obnoxious.

If so, I will probably go with the 135 muffler.

Yeah I was looking into a muffler delete but I live in NC and its illegal so that ideas out of the window lol. Also feel like that would be too loud for what I'm looking for but the weight reduction would definitely be nice.

Also does anyone know is a 125i/130i/135i exhaust system (or just a muffler) would fit on a 13 128i?

That sucks but I have family in NC and all too familiar with their regulations. Honestly though...as long as everything else is left in place, the muffler delete isn't really all that loud.

Have you looked into an aftermarket solution? I have a friend that had his stock muffler cut out, and a universal Magna-flow muffler welded in. It sounds really good.

Hey does anyone have a clear video of what a 135i muffler + resonator delete sounds like while moving? How loud is it in person? Most of the older videos and clips vary in volume. I can't decide if I want to delete the resonator or not. Going on an automatic car

Just noticed this thread.

Resonator delete (BMWP Y-Pipe) and Corsa axle-back (for 135i). With the y-pipe, I can now fit any 135i axle-back, which is nice...

I did it all at once. I think the resonator just silences some rasp and lower tones. The stock exhaust actually sounds pretty good, but it's just really quiet.

I have the resonator delete with a y pipe and the golf tee mod. Didn't really hear it until I had a friend beat on my car a bit. I'm honestly surprised at how good it sounds. It's not loud by any means and it does give a low tone drone but overall i kinda like it I'm putting the 135 muffler in soon cause I want a little more noise and bigger tips!
