Why is there a passenger? Doesn't seem fair if you have to carry an extra 70kg (150lb) in competition ...

I was instructing that weekend and taking students out on course.

Okay. I'd jump at the chance to sit in with a fellow 1er racer.

(For safety reasons, we are generally not permitted to do this. On the rare occasions this is allowed, officials will only permit driving within prescribed limits.)
