10 year anniversary meet - June 2021

So quite a few of us still have our baby bimmers for about 9 years now, who might be interested in meeting up next year to celebrate 10 years of ownership of this amazing car? Maybe we meet in St. Louis or somewhere in mid-America so we can do a national meetup. Your thoughts?

It's a cool idea but so many on the coasts that makes it very far. It would be great to have one giant meet but might be hard if you were thinking of people driving their cars there. Regional meets might be easier to pull off. West coast somewhere between San Francisco and LA. Maybe mountain one, central and eastern? Bimmerfest is around may and that could be a good option for a 10 year anniversary drive too that is usually at the Rose Bowl and there is one in the east coast. Just spitballing.

I would love to meet a bunch of you but June is. Huge wedding anniversary for me and not sure it's a good idea. Dallas is probably good I have also heard that Austin has the best BBQ places. Depending on the time I might be game for Texas BBQ with 1Mgator and fellow 1Mrs

St. Louis is good for me.
I think there should be a poll, not to decide which location is best, but to count how many people are in East, West, Mountain, & Midwest.

Southern Idaho would be a good and convenient location :-)

What about BMW Performance Center in South Carolina? That has BBQ and track? I think the factory is nearby and so is the BMW CCA museum. BBQ and track is the perfect combination. : )

West Coast owners should meet in Northern CA where the 2020 Road and Track Performance Car of the Year were done (Feather River Scenic Bypass). Lake Tahoe would be the best meeting point and it would be better in early May before the Summer rush. JMVHO.

When that article came out the route they described immediately made my shortlist. Nice suggestion!

Let's do this! I want to go drive that road, might as well see if we can get some owners to connect.

I will start a thread.

I'm down for anything between West Coast and Texas. Texas seems like the best place for a national meetup. MotoGP at COTA is scheduled for April 18, but the calendar is still provisional. With BMW sponsoring MotoGP, they might be interested in being part of the event. It would be cool if they could bring out the 1M MotoGP safety car...

Anyway, I'll do my best to be there wherever and whenever. I believe a few regional meetups might get better attendance.

I'd be willing to help organize but won't know until late December at the earliest if I'll have the bandwidth.

There was a plan being made previously
on the FB 1M owners group that was
even being organized with BMW
not sure what the latest is on that

Covid has certainly changed the outlook

Agreed!

This would be a great East Coast destination.

Plus maybe we could coordinate something cool with BMW for a 1M meet on site?

Do the museum? Maybe get a discounted track day if enough people sign up?
