Installed Android 8.0 Nav
Bought it at carnaviplayer.com. Price was a little higher than others, but the customer service was worth the premium. Near perfect fit. Looks stock. Simple install - under 20 minutes! Everything works great. Love it. And it was all plug-and-play; no wires to solder, cut, or run. I cannot say enough good things about the unit or company. Extremely satisfied.

Just having one issue that maybe someone can help with...When I turn on the radio, it comes on at a loud volume even if it was turned down when I shut it off previously. Any ideas?

Thanks. I'll check. I also have an email with carnavi asking them, but they're in Hong Kong, so I probably won't hear back for a few hours.

You need to put them under the panel free or in the glove box on passenger side. Please acknowledge this issue before place the order." anyone have a creative way of dealing with it? "4. Our product is compatible with BMW Base(stereo)/HiFi(S676A/S674A) audio system. If your car equips with Top-Hifi (Harman Kardon)(S688A/S677A), Bang & Olufsen(S6F2A) or BimmerTech Fiber optics amplifier audio system, there will be no audio at all after install our product. Please DO NOT buy this product." If you have an Alpine upgrade will it fail too? |

I think you can adjust that in the "factory settings" menu. You'll need to enter password "126" to access those menu options.

Yup. Just changed the factory settings and it works great now. Got the password from the distributor. Thanks.

I was so excited to read this until I saw the incompatibility with Harman Kardon. Wish there was a work-around.

Cool! I'm really tempted on this unit. My biggest concern is fitment, since it looks like it sticks out further than the stock setup. Does it looks ok from the side? Thanks!

Looks almost perfect from the sides; nearly flush with the dash;very, very small gap, but not noticeable at all. I'll try to snap a pic when I get home tonight. Here's one thing I do not like: Maybe I am not doing something right, but when I want to listen to the navigation instructions, I have to have the radio volume on. I haven't really tried to sort that out; maybe there's a setting that'll fix that.

Here are a couple of pics of the gap. Looks worse in the close-up pics; really not that noticeable from the driver or passenger seats.

Mine just arrived. I picked this unit over some of the other "better" spec'd units because of the real OEM look. The unit has a nice feel to it. Almost soft touch plastic with OEM feel to the buttons. The packaging, wiring harnesses, and HVAC plate are all high quality. Again, very impressed. My expectations were exceeded.
No manual or install instructions. No trim removal tools either. That is ok but would have been nice to have some documentation. Planning to install this weekend. Should be pretty easy aside from routing the mic, GPS antenna, and aux speaker into the A-pillars. |

Edit* Checked their website for some more clarity, there is an adapter needed to make it work. I still wonder if the Bimmertech amp comment is mostly only applicable to those that started with HK audio to begin with. May be sending them an email if I decide to go this route.
