lift kits

Wondering if anyone has any expereince with lifting the 1 series.
I drive the 2011 bmw 135i and becoming more outdoorZ. All the activities usually require some ground clearance and slight ability off roading. I was thinking more WRC spec 135i.

My current setup is all stock [18" wheel] with lowered on eibach springs.
Im looking to go the opposite direction now. I want a 1-2" lift with high profile tires, and small diameter wheels 15-17" wheels

The large profile will help against potholes and bumps along the road. Small diameter wheel will help me fit a higher profile tires. The lift shall help in ground clearance, fitting larger tires, suspension travel gains.

ya and dirty82_814.

superb research and work.
I would like to keep the 135i brakes and 15".
I could settle for a 1" lift

You have to sacrifice somewhere.

The 135i brakes don't fit on wheels smaller than 17", and barely fit the 17" wheels.

Why not do the smart thing and sell and replace with either a X1 or X3?
