Taking Car in for CPO. How to remove JB4 fully.
Hey guys,
My water-pump/thermostat is dying as my temperature are all over the place and I've overheated a few times. NO CODES, no half engine light. I'm still covered under CPO but had a JB4 running map1 prior to the failures. I set the JB4 to map0 and used a OBD2 iphone app to check for codes and clear everything, then I removed the JB4 from the engine bay. Is there anything else I need to do to prior to bringing her in for CPO? my code reader is still finding no codes or anything wrong but the temps are still not as stable as i would like. |

You should be good in terms of the JB4 removal. You may have trouble getting the dealer to do something without a code telling them what the problem is.

As long as the Jb4 is removed, you should be fine

Stop running your car if it keeps overheating. You don't want to see that red coolant light more than once before you go and that pump fixed!
