Ordered 128i (LeMans, Terracotta)

Hi everyone,

I placed my order this weekend for a 128i coupe:

- Automatic
- M Sport
- LeMans Blue
- Terracotta Leather
- Light Burl Walnut
- HK / Bluetooth / BMW Assist
- Xenon Headlamps

They said 6-8 weeks for delivery; I can't wait!

What is this $1000 credit? Did I have to negotiate that with my dealer? I have already ordered my car and it's in production right now.

If you participate in the BMW Drive for Team USA Event, you'll get a $1000 credit after test driving the new F30.

My car showed up on the system on April 18 and now: "Your vehicle has left the plant and is ready to ship."

That's about two weeks from "production start" to "ready to ship."

Mine was finished on the 20th and is still waiting for a ship

I called the 1800 number and it said that production is scheduled to be finished 5/12. Woo hoo!

Where / how do I find the production status code?

I read that - but it wasn't clear as to how to find out what the 3 digit status code was. So I called the 800 number and got to a person to tell me the code.

So far- it's code 150. They said it should be done on 5/11 now so we'll see.

Congrats and you definitely picked the best color combo.

That is identical to my 135i that I picked up in late March this year.

Ok - so going to pick it up tonight. Besides handing over a bunch of money and signing some papers is there anything I should do before I drive it off the lot? Anything to look at, check, measure...? Anything I should avoid? (rust proofing, paint protection, etc)

That is almost like my car! Except for the roof, and terra-cotta vs. grey interior. Love Le Mans Blue, it is an awesome color! Sorry you got a stick shift, very soon, US BMWs may only come that way as fewer and fewer folks want manuals. That will be a sad day for me, because I hate autos. But the car looks great. Now learning about coding and change a few things BMW doesn't want you too! ;-)
