I call BS on BMWP springs not for E88
Guys, I am about to refresh the suspension and I would like to go with the performance springs. Only because I do NOT want any significant drop.
It makes zero sense to me these are not adequate for e88. First, the weight difference is minimal, around 160lbs spread relatively even. Second, if the spring rates are more than current Msport, then why not?? Lastly, how can other springs be recommended for both coupe and vert, but not these. Its just not making sense to me. I will be going with koni shocks.

It's the spring rate. And you're right. For some reason they think that a 10# difference warrants a different part number and a it'll never fit the other car disclaimer. It's stupid. Any domestic brand, you get one spring option for all the models, and it works in all of them.
I look at it as, find the spring rate you want and buy them. I don't care what they claim it fits or doesn't. I'm on a spring/shock kit for an E92 on my E82. |

The spring rate not being adequate for e88 is what gets me.... If the spring rate is higher on the BMWP ones, then how would that make any sense. Why would BMW suggest a higher spring rate for the coupe but not the vert.
Just find it very odd and trying to educate myself before ordering the springs. Again, it's only because I do not want any drop in height. I feel it sits low enough already.

It's BMW. Same reason they make small cup holders ... because bmw engineers Believed we should drive, not drink coffee.
There is no reason they won't work if the shocks & springs from an e82 fit the e88.

These are a BMW Sport and BMWP springs. I had the Sport springs on for awhile then changed my suspension to the BMWP springs and Koni Yellows. I think the rates are BMW sport ~ 133 and the BMWP ~ 146. I got about a 15mm drop when I put the BMWP springs on yet they are higher rated. Point is the initial length is a factor.

Be sure you get the high rates on the BMWP springs if you want to minimise your drop. I'm on T2/T2 front/Rear. I know there are T3's and somewhere I've seen someone mention T4's (those may be for E90's).
