I laugh when people say this as this typically never holds true. When I sold my M3 I had a $3.5k diff put on it. There was no way in hell I was going to get $1.75k more for the car because of it. Most of the time that money is lost. MOST. It's only worth what someone will pay for it. That's why people part out because they understand they'll loose most of the money.

This is true....i wish it wasnt cause too much money has been put into this car.
