I will keep my 335i coupe, and wait for the redesigned 1 or 3 coupe. All out.

$47,010 for a brand new M car? It's a bargain!

Exactly, and perhaps that's the reason of the huge price increase... less volume, same profit.

I'll put it like this:
If I was shopping for a NEW 135i, then of course I would get the 1M.

I wouldn't consider a CPO M3, because of cost to maintain and potential for past abuse.

Since I'm already in a 135i, it's not worth the money to upgrade. (Not enough improvement)

Eh, about $2K more than a price that would have made me say "wow". Still seems reasonable. Don't forget to add ~$600 for metallic paint! I'd like one loaded, without heated seats or Sat radio. I'm guessing that will come in right at $54K. If it hits under $50K for an ED, you'll have to hold me back!

For all those talking about "CPO M3 for a few thou more", please recognize some buyers just prefer to have a brand new car. Depreciation and all.

I think people were hoping for 42,000-43,000 even though it was said pricing would be around 45,000. An extra 1000 from 45,000 to 46100(price without destination) does not seem to be a deal breaker....

You are lucky guys in the USA........ When I calculate in euros you pay 'only' € 36.000.

My 1M touches the € 79.000 including all the taxes in the Netherlands.
So you are really lucky! I pay in the Netherlands for 2 times an 1M in the USA!

Like everyone else, I was hoping that the base would come in around 45K. However, just over 46K (w/o destination) is still pretty close and certainly can't be seen as a deal breaker. If we were talking about a 20K car now costing 22K, that might be something to be concerned about, but this is a LOT of car to be getting for that money. This is around what a base e46 M3 cost years ago, and the 1M will absolutely be a better performer.

There are also a lot of people who actually can't afford to purchase a $50k+ car. So they will be leasing this car. Buying a cpo is not an option for some.

I agree with you 100%, since I am in the market for an upgrade from the e46 (non-m), the 1M is under much consideration

Well said. I've been saying the same thing. I laugh at people who think bolt-ons are going to make the car the same. If all these people were so good, then they would be working for BMW. Let me know how many people are going to add wider fenders and make a car more aerodynamic than the production car. Juvenile arguments.

The concern for me is the price increase for the 135i. You can't just say that it's only $7k more because I think the 135i is priced too high. Don't get me wrong, I think the 1M price is still a good deal for what you're getting. People need to drive it first and wait for the expert reviews as well.

Yes, but the US price does not include taxes. They are added in during the sale.

Seen alot of people complaining about the price here..

Did anyone of you miss the info by Scott saying that it will infact cost around $10.000 more then a base 135i?

As far as i know, he was spot on.

$37.775 for the 135i and,
$47.010 for the 1M.

We knew this a long time ago so why are so many of you depressed about the price?

If my country had your prices it would be seen as a bargain. It would be so cheap people would wonder if BMW is pulling their leg or not.

If you would have taken my price and converted it to USD you would have a price of $64.902

You should be happy your country doesnīt tax the living crap out of eveything that enters this country lol.

+1, I think the price is right around where I thought it would be. The 1M looks AMAZING and I am sure it will perform VERY well.

Had it been available when I got my 135 I would have jumped on it. But, my decision to get a N54'd 135 feels even better now. New 19's, full Eibach suspension, jb3 + water/meth on the way I think those fortunate enough to get a 1M will be very, very happy. There are E9x M3's on every corner down here, 128/135's are much less common...the 1M will be even more unique. I think it is priced right for what you are getting....a track monster with great looks and good fuel economy to boot
