All the specs are under the description. The shifter is made in the European Union Factories

Weightedknobs is the username. He seems to make a few different styles almost bought the same one without the colored stichting

I will keep this post updated once I receive it, and give a week to test run. Like I states my major concern is the height of the Knob. Might make things awkward going into 4th(hitting armrest with wrist) and 5th( hitting cup holder attachment with fingers)

It sounds like you'd be a perfect candidate for one of my favorite mods: the armrest delete. Gets the big thing out of the way...and frees up a cup holder!

Do you have it done ? Feel like if it's a DD I would almost want to keep it. I've pulled it up a few times just to get a feel... def would prefer it on the track all day! But sometimes I need relax my old ass elbow And enjoy some comfort. Remember this is the ultimate performance machine( but it's still

You’re more in the market for a short shift lever! It makes a HUGE difference and those won’t be a concern at all!

Yep, I did it, and it’s one of my favorite mods. Maybe it’s because I have long arms, but I find it more comfortable.

Russiandl, do you have a link for that knob?

What are you guys doing about the shift boot? M-performance boot? Pulling the knob off the original boot and zip-ties?

Hey I actually ended up buying a Whalen knob lol do I have this one still around. I drove with it for about a week.. it was actually really nice for shifting purposes, weight was good it just sat a little too high for me on the shifter. If you want I'll sell it to you for 30 shipped. And yes I'm using oem boot which I had to remove from the oem plastic piece of the M sport knob,

BMW literally should not be selling anything else than the ZHP knob and the golf ball.

I used to swear by the ZHP knob from 2003+ on. Now I can't find anything I like other than the stock ZMP knob for e82/e9x. On my now sold e82, I added the 1M flat black trim, loved how clean it looked.

The golf ball knob is awesome though, I want one if I ever do my offroad e90xi build. The 320si race cars had them as well.

I really like the ZMP knob as well. Feels sort of "just right" to me, especially with the BMW Performance SSK. I'm kind of a sucker for the perforated leather, too.

But I've had my eye on the BMW Motorsport golf ball for a while now. How would you say it compares?
