Valvetronic actuator disconnect
I have the dreaded actuator clicking, so I have ordered a new actuator and parts, and am hoping the shaft will be ok. Can I disconnect the actuator electrical connector, or fuse and still drive the car safely? I dont expect to be able to do the repair for a few weeks, so I am trying to minimize any chance of DME damage in the interim.

You don't need to worry about DME damage, you need to worry about damaging your eccentric shaft. I'm not sure about driving it but when mine went bad I immediately unplugged it to keep it from grinding every time I opened a door or anything.
