Aftermarket vs BMW PS
I've been combing through older posts and it seems that just about any suspension change from stock is well reviewed, but I wonder how many people have experience with more than one setup?
Specifically, I'm considering either the BMW Performance Suspension or the Koni/Eibach route (leaning towards yellows but may consider FSD's). Either way I will also eventually do some of the M3 bits, and keep in mind the BMW PS also includes a 26.5 mm sway, so the price ends up being pretty close between these two options. Can anyone compare these two setups? The car is a DD. I would like to start getting into auto-x and even a few HDPE's, but I definitely won't be needing coilovers (nor can I really afford them). From what I've read, either of these choices should tighten up handling considerably, and offer a bit of a drop, but nothing too extreme. I like the idea that the BMW PS is specifically designed for my car, and will offer OEM fitment, but I'm also wondering how much sense it makes to replace one BMW suspension with another...warranty is another issue, but honestly, I can't imagine having suspension issues before 50K miles anyway, plus if I understand correctly, Koni offers a lifetime warranty on all of their products. I guess to sum up my question: is either of these choices considerably better than the other? Should I simply cross-shop these two and choose based on price, or is there a unique character to either one? Thanks for any insight...

i put the performance suspension on my 128i because it also included the sway bars. So far I'm loving it. Check out the full review here. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=383090
