Titanium brake shims

Is hardbrakes going out of business? Their site has "Sales temporarily suspended during our reorganization." on their website. Is there another source? Thx.

So, 213 views, no responses. I'll take that as a "No idea" and and "No" as the answers from the collective...

Shims for 135i calipers are still not available "during their reorganization".

Well..they were available for a bit, because they are in my "waiting to install" drawer...

So, dumb question: do these replace the stock shim or go in addition to the stock shims?

Depends... they make more than one thickness. I have the thinnest ones and I had no problem adding them on top of the stock backing plate with PFC-08 pads. Keeping the stock shim will prevent the pad from clunking around in the caliper when you first tap the brakes. Obviously, if they pad is too thick you'll need to remove the Ti shims or the stock backing plate...

Thx! Once I got it off and looked, it was clear they could fit behind the stock pad...plus the stock shim looks welded on. Got the passenger side done...man, having never done this before, it was a PITA...I got the two piece titanium hard-brakes shims so I have two slippery pieces of metal, plus the brake pad, trying to fit them all on the pins plus push correctly onto the spring...all while holding the caliper on my knee...I gotta figure out a better way on the drivers side. Also need to find torque specs...

Success! Both sides done. Second side was easier without taking the pins all the way out.
Feels the same driving, no noises. Next HPDE is next month. Didn't see brake issues last time but will take some on contact temps then, right after each session to see where I'm at. For reference, the torque specs I found were 81 ft-lbs for the caliper bolts.

assume you went for the 1mm shim rather then the 0.5mm?
